Picnic Basket! Foodie event for ARTS!
Posted By Kelly Orange on July 13, 2010

Presented by Chef Works in collaboration with Cooks Confab and Waters Fine Catering
Seriously… don’t miss out on this event. It’s only $50 (most Cooks Confab events are closer to $100 so this is a steal!). There will be plenty of food & it’s a family friendly event, so all of you with kids 12 & under, you can bring them along for FREE! We will be there in support of ARTS with our own little booth for taking snapshots for the Scion x-CHANGE site! The top three nonprofits with the most added content, be it art or Face Art Lab photos is awarded extra money for their charity & we’re on a mission.
Stop by, say hi and take a picture with us! You can do this on your own as well… just go to http://scionxchange.org click on the “Face Art Lab” link on the top and upload & manipulate a picture! All you have to do is finish by adding your name and make sure to pick San Diego as your city! Your contribution is much appreciated

In celebration of the 1-year anniversary of the Danny Riley Music Program, ARTS’ very own Livicated Youth Ensemble (LYE) will be performing jazz, funk, blues and world-beat tunes at Picnic Basket! The Livicated Youth Ensemble showcases the talent of ARTS’ oldest and most advanced students. In addition to performing live music, students in LYE have learned how to improvise, and write and transcribe music. They are also learning how to produce and promote a professional working band. Seeing these dedicated kids perform live is truly an inspiring musical experience not to be missed. Be prepared to move those dancing feet to the sounds of LYE! (www.areasontosurvive.org/drmp.php)
